The OSU Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program is offering, in partnership with Massillon Public Library, a free series of programs for families with children, how to stretch your food dollars.
This FREE program will help families with children explore nutrition, creative ideas on how to keep families active, parent tips, ways to stretch your food dollars, as well as food tastings, which will include recipes and affordable food suggestions. Participants will receive educational enhancements that relate to the topic of the day. Week # 6 Build strong Bones will be discussing ways in which families can get enough calcium from low-fat or non-fat dairy foods, as well as other food options that are high in calcium. The weekly educational enhancement is a liquid measuring cup.
The Brewster Branch of MPL opened in September 1935 thanks in part to donations from the Brewster community. In September 2007, the renamed Pam S. Belloni Branch opened its new location inside the new Fairless Elementary School.
