The OSU Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program is offering, in partnership with Massillon Public Library, a FREE series of programs for families with children on how to stretch food dollars.
This FREE program will help families with children explore nutrition, creative ideas to keep families active, parent tips, ways to stretch your food dollars, as well as food tastings, which will include recipes and affordable food suggestions. Participants will receive educational enhancements that relate to the topic of the day. Week # 5 Go Lean With Protein will help families choose lean protein foods while gaining helpful hints on how to keep their food safe to eat. The weekly educational enhancement will be a food thermometer and Safe Food Temperature Magnet and Brochure.
The Brewster Branch of MPL opened in September 1935 thanks in part to donations from the Brewster community. In September 2007, the renamed Pam S. Belloni Branch opened its new location inside the new Fairless Elementary School.
